As LeBron James tries his best to continue his legendary NBA career, he has faced some setbacks in the form of injuries, which have not allowed him to play enough games so far.
After returning from his sciatica injury, there is fear that he might not be able to extend his streak of All-NBA selections if he misses another three more regular-season games.
So far, he has already missed one game, leaving him with just 2 more rest games if he wants to keep his streak alive. Now, that is down to one.
In their game against the Toronto Raptors, the 4-time champion broke his streak of 1297 consecutive games of scoring 10+ points. He preferred to forego his record for a team win and did not regret it one bit.
However, that was his 2nd straight game where it looked like he was struggling to gain lift off his legs. The usual bounce that has been a hallmark of his game for 23 seasons was missing.
The Los Angeles Lakers released their latest injury report ahead of their game against the Boston Celtics earlier. In that, it was mentioned that LeBron James was dealing with ‘Right sciatica and left foot joint arthritis’, which meant he would not play.

This report means he is still suffering from sciatica, which has become a problem for him so far. Then, now suffering from arthritis in his left foot probably explains why he was himself.
Fans lose it after LeBron James ‘arthritis’ news
Arthritis is not new to NBA players, who contract it earlier than the average person. Years of excessive grinding eventually start to impact joints.
But fans were not prepared to hear about it when thinking about LeBron James. After all, his exceptional conditioning has been a hallmark of his career.
Now for something like arthritis to creep in, has fans realizing the age has finally started to catch up with the 4-time league MVP. Check out examples of those reactions below.

Everyone knows that LeBron James was a rare physical specimen who made other basketball players and athletes look weak. Now that reality is catching up, fans are starting to process the fact that his career is about to end.
Stephen A. Smith continues to believe LeBron James can help Lakers to West Finals
When he first struggled in their game against the Phoenix Suns, many were quick to admonish LeBron James for allegedly stat-padding. Then, after his sacrifice in the Raptors’ game, it seems narratives have changed.

Clearly he’s not a 100%… Who cares. The bottom line is that it’s not an aberration what he’s done. What LeBron James did last night is what he’s typically done throughout his career… They can get to the Western Conference Finals, and it’s because of plays like that.
