Just a few weeks ago, rapper Drake was involved in a heated controversy with LeBron James over the release of his new diss track. Now, the NBA superstar seems to have chimed back after making a recent appearance in another famous musician and rapper, Tyler, the Creator’s new release, “Stop Playing With Me.”

James is known to have a no-nonsense approach towards matters that involve him, and this recent appearance in the musician’s music video is his kind of reply to the Canadian rapper, sending a clear message regarding his ongoing beef with him. Members of Clipse, Pusha T, and Malice, who recently released an amazing album, as well as those who have a falling out with Drake, also make an appearance.

It was just a few weeks before that Drake told James in his diss track, “I saw bro in the Pop Out with them but been d*ckriding gang since ‘Headlines.’” Many found this hilarious because just after these lines came out, the NBA superstar went on to headline another music video, but this time with Tyler, the Creator. To add to this, James’ business partner, Maverick Carter, also made an appearance in the video.

While all of this is hilarious, it also makes one reconsider Tyler’s verse on “POV,” which is a song from Clipse’s “Let God Sort ‘Em Out” album. The music industry thought he was referring to Kanye West when he said that he was outgrowing his heroes, and he may still be. However, the inclusion of Clipse and LeBron in the music video is blatantly directed at Drake, who may be the subject of the song.

So is Tyler indirectly dissing Drake? Has to be, by the looks of it. All said and done, James has fired back on this matter. But not before Drake went out and dissed him outright during his on-stage events in multiple venues lately. Now, it will surely be interesting to watch how the Canadian rapper chimes back on this matter.

Drake covered LeBron James’ tattoo with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s during a recent event

Ever since LeBron James attended the Juneteenth concert last year, he lost a friend in the Canadian rapper Drake. For those who are new, Drake and popular US rapper Kendrick Lamar are in each other’s crosshairs. They have been beefing with each other for over a year now. Given that, James’s appearance at Pop Out was the final straw in the friendship between Drake and James.

He made it known to the NBA superstar with his recent release, dissing James in the process, as mentioned above. That said, he went as far as to cover the LeBron James tattoo that Drake once inked on his arm. The tattoo was his ‘Irish 23’ from his old school days at St. Vincent St. Mary, wearing the iconic Irish jersey, replacing it with OKC Thunder star, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander‘s No.2 Thunder jersey.

Drake has his own reasons, one of them being his ongoing beef with James regarding the covering up of the tattoo. But why SGA? Mostly because, just like Drake, SGA also hails from Canada and won the 2025 NBA title as well as the MVP award in style.

Shaquille O’Neal leaves out LeBron James from the important NBA players list

LeBron James is 40 right now, but continues to make the headlines and front pages just like any other young NBA player. However, with age, his performance is also slightly taking a low, but he still has the same relentless mentality. Notably, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal also feels the same. Recently, O’Neal was questioned regarding the top 5 current best players in the NBA.

O’Neal, without any hesitation, named his list, which included Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jalen Williams, Stephen Curry, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, leaving James aside.

I already know what people are gonna do with that list. They’re going to say, ‘Oh, you dissed LeBron.’ No, this is about my opinion. Everybody knows I love LeBron.

As O’Neal said, it was his opinion, and everyone is entitled to one in cases like these. It does not mean that he was having a jab at the NBA superstar. Times are changing in the NBA at the moment with the young generation taking over, at least this is what O’Neal thinks. Nevertheless, O’Neal spoke his mind regarding the list rather than faking it.
