LeBron James SLAPPED the ball out of Nikola Jokic in losing-streak snapping playoffs game
The Lakers have finally broken their 11-game losing streak against the Nuggets.
LeBron James stole the ball from Nikola Jokic in final moments of game 4.
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are back in the competition after the win in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets. James had a fantastic game as he held onto the Lakers’ lead until the very end. With less than three minutes left in regulation, James snatched the ball from Nikola Jokic‘s hands in a stunning play.
This time, the Los Angeles Lakers did not repeat their previous mistake of losing the game in the final moments.
With 2:42 minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Lakers were leading by 11 points, and the Nuggets had possession with a chance to cut down the lead by single digits. However, LeBron James did not give that opportunity to Nikola Jokic and stole the ball to finish the play with a flawless dunk.
The Lakers have finally succeeded in breaking their eleven-game losing streak against the Denver Nuggets. James and Anthony Davis were dominant, as Davis scored an unreal double-double with 25 points and 23 rebounds. The duo was certainly not going to repeat the sweep of last year’s Western Conference finals.
James, who also had a 30-point performance, was much more on the court than his stats. The star showed many emotions during the game and also did not budge from calling out the head coach when needed.
As the Lakers now have a chance in the series, the team needs to stay consistent with such dominant performances to beat the reigning champions.
The game 4 win has given the Lakers ‘another life’ says LeBron James
After the Lakers lost three consecutive games, James stressed in the press conference that the team was only focusing on the next game. The star admitted that the team needs to take one game at a time to stay in the competition and to stand by his words, and LA did just that.
The team has saved themselves from getting swept and has won against the Nuggets after almost two years. In the post-game press conference, James was looking at the game 4 win positively.
The only opportunity for us is just to play the next game. We've given ourselves another life, given ourselves another lifeline. It's a one-game series for us.LeBron James said
The four-time champion also acknowledged the much-needed improvement in the second half of Game 4. James admitted that the next game of the series would be the most important of the season. Despite the chances still seeming thin, only a masterclass by James and Davis has the potential to save the Lakers season.
