“If he wanted to be a chef, he could’ve done that,” LeBron James speaks highly of Bronny James passion towards basketball
LeBron and Bronny James have become the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA at the same time.
LeBron James and Bronny James
LeBron James has always appreciated his son Bronny James in the media. As Bronny got drafted in the NBA a few weeks back LeBron was really happy to play alongside his son. They have become the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA at the same time. In an interview with Dave McMenamin LeBron spoke highly of Bronny James.
During the interview, LeBron James spoke about Bronny’s passion for playing basketball and how he would have still supported him even if he didn’t choose to play basketball. He even spoke about how Bronny went through a heart surgery less than a year ago and now he was playing in the NBA. LeBron stated how big of a commitment it is.

James has always been criticized by the media and the experts since he entered the league. It is nothing too new. He has always dealt with the pressure and fought back and he hopes his son Bronny also does the same and makes his mark in the league.
Bronny has to play in the summer league and make his mark to get quality minutes to play in the regular season. NBA fans can’t wait to see this father-son duo play together for the Los Angeles Lakers.
LeBron James takes a $3 million pay cut for the Lakers
LeBron James had signed a two-year deal worth $104 million. But before signing he was ready to take a cut for the Lakers if they sign a preferred superstar like Klay Thompson. However, the Lakers failed to add a superstar and James decided to sign the extension.
NBA insider Shams Charania reported that James would not sign a $104 million contract but a $101 contract instead. Fans might think of this as a small pay cut but it has helped the Lakers in many ways as the franchise will not be sitting below the 2nd apron.
The Lakers will most likely break the 2nd apron next season. This would affect them making trades starting from the 2026-27 season. Also, their draft pick will be pushed to No. 30 as per the rules. By staying in the 2nd apron Lakers will be more flexible in ways to improve their roster. The Lakers are gonna try their best to maintain their roster for the post-LeBron era.
