LeBron James has a subtle reaction to Bryce Young getting benched after failing to score touchdowns in first 2 games
Bryce Young getting benched by the Carolina Panthers brings out a reaction from Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James wants Bryce Young to hold his head high after Carolina Panthers benched him
LeBron James has been there long enough to know what expectations and reality are. When one succeeds, the athlete is usually showered with praise and admiration. On the other hand, when one ends up not being on the successful side, like Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Young, James knows he will need all the motivation in the world.
The all-time leading scorer is a longtime fan of the NFL. Naturally, the news of the Panthers benching their last year’s 1st overall pick reached the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.
Bryce Young hold ya head Young!! Rooting for you and know this ain’t on you! Continue to put the work in and it shall prevail!LeBron James wrote on X
This statement shows that James wants Bryce Young to hold his head up and keep working, as he feels this benching is due to the failure of the franchise rather than his own mistakes. Bryce Young did not throw for a touchdown in his first two games of this season. On top of that, he threw three interceptions. Those stats combined along with his several missed throws saw his net QBR slump to a league-low 9.1. That forced the Carolina Panthers to bench him and start their backup instead.
LeBron James feels it was not the setting for him to fail. Now the Lakers superstar would prefer if the young quarterback can sit back and study the game; and focus on how to improve himself as his team works through their own growing pains. Then when the opportunity strikes, show what he is truly capable of.
LeBron James and his love for the game of football
There was a time before LeBron James came into the NBA where he was touted as an otherworldly tight end. The world will never know what could have happened had he taken that route in his quest for supremacy. But the NBA world is thankful that they have been able to witness 21 years of greatness.
Even though he is the face of the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has always shown his love for football. He is a constant at every Super Bowl and keeps track of games even during a busy NBA season. Time and again he posts on his social media accounts about amazing plays he saw unfolding in the NFL.
He also happens to be an avid Madden gamer, even playing himself up to beat some of the best players in the world. So far, he has kept his exploits on the gridiron to the virtual world. With season no. 22 approaching, he is looking forward to playing alongside his son in the NBA.
