LeBron James trolled Draymond Green

LeBron James and Draymond Green are one of the most famous close friends in the NBA. The ‘23’ duo shares a close bond but that does not come in the way of their competition. Over the years, the pair have been in the biggest basketball rivalry of modern times. Hence, their on-court mismatch is always interesting to witness. That is what happened during Thursday’s matchup. James did not miss the opportunity to taunt Green.

Draymond Green got into with the referees for not calling an eight-second violation on the Lakers. After his complaint, the star was awarded free throws but missed the first. Witnessing this, LeBron James decided to clap back and hilariously celebrated the miss with the crowd at Crypto.com arena. The Warriors forward frequently finds a way to hassle with either the players or the refs. Calling out the behavior, James trolled Green’s ‘extracurricular activities’. Even while shooting the free throw, the 34-year-old kept arguing with the game officials. His words resulted in a technical foul late in the game. James’ trolling brought excitement from the crowd as the fans were able to enjoy the home win.

The Lakers vs. Warriors game is an exciting event each time the teams face each other. Along with the missed calls from refs, to taunting and fighting, the game also gave some incredible performances. James scored 42 points and 17 rebounds. His opponent Stephen Curry ended up with 37 points.

Draymond Green was upset by the technical foul

It was all fun and games when James trolled Green on the floor. His statement after the game also seemed ‘getting back at a friend’ unserious. The Lakers’ veteran wanted to keep things light-hearted for his home crowd.

However, that was not the case for Green. The former DPOY was quite upset about the missed eight-second violation as well as the technical foul. During the post-game press conference, Green called out the referees.

The forward explained that his give-and-take with the game official had nothing to do with the missed foul call. The referee kept walking towards Green while the player was ready to take the free throws. The four-time champion was getting distracted by the ref’s behavior. Hence, Green told the official to back off. That did not sit well with the official and a technical was called.

But I lose money because he walks in my face. When does a referee walk from under the rim on a free throw, to the free throw line?,” Draymond Green said.

After successfully narrowing down the 20-point the Warriors lost the game by a mere eight points. The two lost possessions would have helped the team add more points. It was natural that the team members including Curry were upset by the non-calls. The team has now fallen to 25-26, below the .500.
