Tyrese Haliburton has witnessed the narrative surrounding him change throughout the past few weeks. He entered the playoffs with an ‘overrated’ tag hanging on his neck after anonymous players submitted a poll. It came to his notice, but he was more interested in letting his play do the talking on the court.
Haliburton went to task dissecting the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round. He helped the Indiana Pacers stage comeback runs and then took over at the end to score game-winning shots. Heading into the second round, his job was going to be tougher, going up against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
They have a deep roster and are tough defensively. But Haliburton did not seem to care as he helped his Pacers blitz them in the first two games. After those wins, he clapped back at those who labeled him as an ‘overrated’ player.
Then in Game 3, he scored a miserable four points, which saw those overrated tags coming back. Entering Game 4, he and his teammates were on a vengeance and blitzed the Cavaliers to win. Today, he finished the job by leading his team to win the series. Seeing this transpire, his Paris Olympics teammate trolled those who tried to discredit him.
Hali fkn hooping!!!! Where the lames who said he was overrated??!! Quiet as hell. That boy NICE and even more someone everyone would love to play with!

LeBron James trolled those who did not believe in Tyrese Haliburton. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar was happy that the ‘nice’ kid did his talking on the court and will now head to his second straight Eastern Conference Finals.
Tyrese Haliburton led Pacers by example
Haliburton’s first two games in the second round were clinical. He scored when needed and brought his teammates in to counter the total basketball method employed by the Cleveland Cavaliers. But in Game 5, he decided to seal the deal.

He led his teammates by example and scored 31 points on 66.7% shooting. He also brought his teammates in by assisting on eight scores. He also helped his Indiana Pacers out-rebound the usually stellar Cavaliers to keep them away from mounting a comeback.
Now, the 25-year-old will get at least an additional day of rest before preparing for the Eastern Conference Finals. Last season, they were blown out by the eventual champion Boston Celtics. This time, the Celtics might not be there.
Instead, they will face a resurgent New York Knicks who seem to have shed the regular-season belief that they were not ready to battle the top teams in the league. Knowing how Madison Square Garden would be, Tyrese Haliburton and his Indiana Pacers will need to bring their A game.
Cavs star tried to use LeBron James’ quote to fuel teammates
The Cleveland Cavaliers had a chance to come back and win the series. One of their own has famously done it in the past. Knowing that, one current player tried to use LeBron James’ words from the 2016 NBA Finals to fire his teammates.
A group text message was sent out to every single Cavalier player from Max Strus. Strus said simply, ‘If you don’t believe, then don’t show up for work’.
Jared Greenberg reported
Max Strus, using an iteration of James’ famous words, worked for the first quarter and a half. But halfway into the second quarter, Tyrese Haliburton turned the game on its head. Once the Indiana Pacers took charge, the Cavaliers could not stop them.

Strus also became a subject of trolls after he went 0 for 9 from the field in 26 minutes of play. He could not back up his own words, and now the Cavaliers have to watch the Pacers and other teams compete for an NBA title.
