“They’ll be talking Sh*t!” – LeBron James vs. Bronny James in Lakers scrimmage will be lit as per NBA stars

Paul George is excited for when LeBron James takes on Bronny James in Los Angeles Lakers scrimmages

Now that Bronny James has become a part of the Los Angeles Lakers, the entire basketball world awaits to see him and his father, LeBron James, step on the court together. When that happens, it will be a historic feat, as no father and son duo has ever played together on the same team. That said, Paul George feels scrimmages between them will be lit.

New Orleans Pelicans rising superstar Trey Murphy was a guest on Podcast P with Paul George. There, he and host George discussed the entire father-son duo set up at the Los Angeles Lakers. As such, George imagined a scenario that might make LA go crazy.

It'll be cool to see Bronny throw a lob to LeBron. LA is gonna go crazy.

To this, Trey Murphy imagined some trash-talking scenario between the father and the son during some training sessions.

Like imagine practice when Bron's team is going against Bronny's team. You know they gonna be talking sh*t. That's gonna be kind of cool.

Paul George and his co-hosts agreed wholeheartedly with this potential situation playing out. The very thought of the two going against each other in practice is intriguing. LeBron James is uber-competitive. The entire sporting world knows that. Therefore, even if his own son is on the opposing team, he will go at them hard. Therefore, some trash talk may come out between the two.

As they said, Los Angeles will be buzzing when the father and son play together against other teams. Even though Bronny James will need some developmental time, it should not be long before he is thrust into action under new head coach JJ Redick.

Former Lakers star approves Bronny James taking his jersey number

Now, as an official member of the Los Angeles Lakers, the first step was to select a jersey number. Bronny James selected No. 9, which was last worn famously by former Lakers star Nick Van Exel. The shifty guard took to his social media to react to this news and wrote, “Let’s Gooooooo!!!”

Bronny James actually took the No. 9 to pay homage to late rapper Juice WRLD. However, as it was Exel’s number, the former star was more than excited.

Nick Van Exel was also a Lakers 2nd round pick like James Jr. and became an All-Star while wearing the purple and gold. He also holds the second-highest franchise assist record during his time with the Lakers. Bronny James might not be the passer that Nick Van Exel was. Nevertheless, he sure is more athletic and can score well from the three-point line.

If Bronny James can improve his game, he could join Exel as the next No. 9 donning 2nd round pick by the Lakers to be an All-Star. But he should continue in that trajectory, unlike Exel, who never played again to the same level he did during his days with the Lakers.
