Billionaire LeBron James will play with Savannah James and sons after buying new team, jokes ex-player
Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has the longevity to continue playing until second son Bryce Young gets drafted.

LeBron James might be about to turn 40 years old, but there are no signs to indicate that he has slowed down. His relentless efforts to keep his body conditioned have helped him play for so long. However, there is growing intrigue on how long the Los Angeles Lakers superstar will continue to play.
The panel of Run It Back were talking about James continuing to play at a high level. Host Michelle Beadle asked former player Chandler Parsons if he believes James Sr. will play beyond the current season.
Then Beadle chimed in to suggest that by the time Bryce James will be eligible, his father might buy a team.
Parsons jokingly implied that LeBron James could have his own team. Then maybe place wife Savannah James in the squad too—all of this based off the idea that the Los Angeles Lakers superstar can continue playing for a long time.
Chandler Parsons talked about what he saw in the Paris Olympics from the near 40-year-old. He was playing elite basketball against tough international teams where many tend to struggle. If that is an indication of his conditioning, then he can go on playing.

Now he is already playing alongside older son Bronny James. If he can continue this momentum, who knows, he could wait until younger son Bryce James is ready to be drafted into the NBA. He will be around 42 years old by then.
LeBron James has NBA franchise ownership expectations taking shape
LeBron James is serious about his intentions of owning an NBA franchise. After last season’s NBA In-Season Tournament, commissioner Adam Silver joked about not being able to help the star get his team. But that joke has started to come to fruition when James and the Fenway Sports Group were initially part of a possible interest in purchasing the Boston Celtics.
But instead, they preferred to focus on a possible franchise in Las Vegas. The city has its own draw and a brand-new arena, and other infrastructures will help the team bring in a lot of revenue. The NBA has set a target for the 2027-28 season, when the expansion team(s) will be eligible to play.
It means that LeBron James will have to stop before his name is officially part of the owners list of that Las Vegas franchise. That effectively means he might not play beyond the 2026-27 season. Until then, it is a mystery how long the four-time champion will keep playing.
