Premier League: Leicester City vs Manchester City Player Ratings as Bernardo Silva sinks the Foxes

Manchester City sunk Leicester with a 1-0 win at the King Power Stadium in Leicester on Saturday. A solitary goal from Bernardo Silva pushed the citizens to third place of the Premier League table while slipped to ninth.

Kasper Schmeichel (GK) (8/10): Schmeichel was kept busy throughout the game by Manchester City and made some key saves.

Ryan Bertrand (6/10) : Bertrand came up against Ilkay Gundogan and had a tough time marking the German.

Jannik Vestergaard (8/10): Vestergaard made some key blocks throughout the game and also helped his side upfront with some attacking moves.

Caglar Soyuncu (8/10): Soyuncu was a leader at the back and never allowed Manchester City to dominate.

Timothy Castagne (7/10): Castagne played a sublime defensive role but not much of a start on the attacking areas.

Harvey Barnes (6/10): Barnes was taken off in the second half and never managed to look settled enough.

Youri Tielamans (7/10): TIelamans won several challenges against Manchester City and was a force to be reckoned with in the midfield. 

Wilfred Ndidi (610): Ndidi was mostly isolated upfront and never posed much of a challenge to Manchester City.

Marc Albrighton (6/10): Albrighton made some key interceptions and went back to help his side in defence.

James Maddison (6/10): Madison was heavily marked and never managed to find pockets of space to exploit.

Jamie Vardy (6/10): Vardy got a couple of chances to put Leicester ahead but he shot wide. 

Substitutes

Johnny Evans (7/10): Evans was more defensive than Vestergaard and had a decent outing. He made some key interceptions at the back and was highly disciplined.

Ademola Lookman (6/10): Lookman struggled to overpower the City defenders to get to the end of the passes.

Kelechi Iheanacho (8/10): Iheanacho had a few minutes on the clock but was a dangerous customer for Manchester City with his quick dazzling runs.

Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva

Ederson (GK) (8/10): Ederson made a few routine saves and was highly disciplined throughout the game.

Kyle Walker (7/10): Walker was a little rusty going into the attack but was a towering presence at the back.

Ruben Dias (7/10): Dias was slow at times but recovered very well to make some last-ditch challenges for his side.

Aymeric Laporte (7/10): Laporte never allowed any single Leicester shirt to have a freeway into the box and was an omnipresent obstacle to deal with for Vardy and co.

Joao Cancelo (7/10): Cancelo delivered in some quality crosses but struggled defensively/

Bernardo Silva (8/10): Bernardo Silva was on top form throughout the game as he created a number of opportunities with short passages of play from the left-wing. He also scored the solitary goal of the game for Manchester City.

Ilkay Gundogan (8/10): The German midfielder marshalled his troops with one of the finest defensive midfield performances. Gundogan cut off several Leicester passes in the midfield and caused quick turns of possession in favour of City.

Gabriel Jesus (6/10): Jesus had yet another forgettable night as he was rather quiet and controlled by the Leicester defenders.

Rodri (6/10): The Spanish midfielder struggled to keep up with the momentum of Leicester City in both halves and was relatively slow to react.

Ferran Torres (7/10): Torres was mostly stranded upfront and did not get much support as a striker.

Jack Grealish (8/10): Grealish dropped down to help his side get the ball and was an impressive figure.

Substitutes

Fernandinho (N/A)

Raheem Sterling (7/10): Sterling replaced Ferran Torres but he was not any different. Sterling made some quick crosses but none of them were properly placed.
