Leon Draisaitl was once again the overtime hero for the Edmonton Oilers. In Game 4, the German International popped up yet again for his team to score the decisive goal and send the fans into a frenzy on social media.
Draisaitl was the hero for his team in Game 1. The Oilers would come back from a 3-1 deficit in that game and force overtime. He would combine with his strike partner, Connor McDavid, to snatch the game winner in the final few seconds of the overtime period and give his team a 1-0 series lead.
The Panthers came back roaring, winning Game 2 in 2OT and then crushed the Oilers 6-1 in Game 3 to take the series lead. In the game on Thursday, they took a 3-0 lead in the first period with two goals from Matthew Tkachuk and one from Anton Lundell.
The Oilers ignited the comeback in the 2nd period. Goals from Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Darnell Nurse, and Vasily Podkolzin made it 3-3. Jake Walman, who came under a lot of heat for his actions in Game 3, scored in the 3rd period to complete the comeback and make it 4-3.
The Panthers would not go down without a fight. Sam Reinhart forced OT in this game with just 19 seconds remaining. This was the 3rd time in 4 games that an overtime period was required to decide a winner.
Draisaitl had just rejoined the attack from the bench when he received the puck. In a shift that lasted nearly 10 seconds, the Oilers No.29 somehow managed to squeeze his backhanded goal past goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to give his team a 5-4 win.

This goal turned out to be his 11th goal of this postseason. With 21 assists to his name as well, he is now tied with McDavid for the most points in this playoffs for the Oilers at 32. If the Oilers do end up winning the Cup, there is a good chance that Draisaitl takes home the MVP title.
Leon Draisaitl scripts history following another OT winner in Game 4
Leon Draisaitl was the match winner again for the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday. His overtime winner in Game 4 saw him script NHL history.

This was Draisaitl’s 4th overtime goal of the playoffs. This is the most any player in NHL history has ever scored in a one single postseason.
He first came against the Los Angeles Kings in Game 4 of the first-round series. The second one came against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 2 of the second-round series. His third OT winner of these playoffs was in Game 1 against the Panthers last week.
