LeSean McCoy bizarrely calls Luka Doncic the ‘worst all-star’ he has ever seen in his life after humiliating NBA Finals outing
Doncic lost in his first NBA finals in just five games.

After having an incredible regular and postseason, many had high expectations for Luka Doncic‘s first finals appearance. However, to much disappointment, the Slovenian was only able to get one win against the Boston Celtics. Doncic has received a lot of criticism from the NBA community so far, but now, even NFL analysts are weighing in on the topic.
Despite being an elite offensive player, Luka Doncic was heavily criticized for his poor defense in the series. However, former NFL running back LeSean McCoy has taken the criticism to another level. On a recent episode of Fox’s Speak, McCoy questioned Doncic’s All-Star credibility for his below-par finals performance.
Luka is the worst all-star I’ve ever seen in my life. He can score the ball, he can pass the ball, he can rebound and all that. [But] he has no effort on defense. He don't wanna play defense. He don't hustle for no loose balls, and he don't hustle for loose rebounds.LeSean McCoy said
McCoy was upset at Doncic’s lack of effort in the game and stated that the star deserves the same level of backlash as his teammate Kyrie Irving. The ex-football player compared Doncic to Jrue Holiday as he criticized his ‘no hustle’ attitude on the floor. McCoy even went on to say that will not let his son watch Doncic’s tape as he should not learn that.
Despite McCoy being correct about Doncic’s underwhelming defense, calling him a ‘worst All-Star’ is a bit far-fetched. The 25-year-old had been dominant as a point guard as he delivers in all three categories. Doncic has averaged 29.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in the finals.
LeSean McCoy had a contradictory opinion about Luka Doncic before the finals
McCoy was frustrated by Doncic’s finals performance but the analyst had a different perspective of the player before the finals started. While discussing on Speak, McCoy stated that winning the championship would make Doncic the best player in the world. Considering the value a title holds to his resume.
McCoy cited Nikola Jokic for explaining his claim, as his championship started the ‘best player’ conversation for the Joker despite being an MVP. Further, McCoy stated that Doncic also needs a similar achievement to gain the title.
If you ask me who's the top 5 players in the league, Luka's going to be on that list. For this year he was third in the MVP voting. So all you need is that ring to solidify that… To go a narrative as far as the best player, you need them chips.LeSean McCoy said
McCoy’s frustration with Doncic came from his initial high expectations. He once saw Doncic as a potential best player in the world, but after the finals loss, McCoy now views him as the worst All-Star. This drastic change shows how disappointed McCoy is.
