While the Washington Commanders’ rookie has been receiving compliments of being the most poised quarterback in the NFC, LeSean McCoy went up a notch in his praise for Jayden Daniels. Without any hesitation, the former NFL star enlisted the young superstar in his list of top five quarterbacks in the league.
Among the rankings of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Matthew Stafford, McCoy made the case for the 23-year-old rookie after being utterly bewitched by his success in playoffs. During the latest episode of Fox Sports’ The Facility, the former Philadelphia Eagles legend shed light on how Daniels is carrying the entire Commanders team upon his shoulder, leading them to glory.
McCoy emphazised how things have turned for the Commanders from a 4-13 record last season to a 12-5 record this season, all thanks to a quarterback drafted using the second overall pick by the same management, team, and coach. Yet, they are standing favored for the NFC championship game.

With the Fox Sports analyst’s endorsement placing him among the elite names, the spotlight is now firmly on Daniels. After ending a three-decade-long draught of championship appearance, the quarterback is preparing for a thrilling showdown against divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Even though the Detroit Lions did not underestimate the young exceptional talent that Daniels is, yet they couldn’t overpower him. As he heads towards his third playoff game, Daniels is receiving the same level of respect from his upcoming opponents, implying they are well aware of the threat he possesses.
Well, the Eagles have more than one reason to believe that. They have previously endured an upset at the hands of the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year in the Week 16 matchup, where he posted a historic performance with five touchdowns.
