The Los Angeles Clippers were up against the Cleveland Cavaliers today and coasted a win at their home. Despite Kawhi Leonard and Paul George out with injury, the team proved that their bench strength can cripple great offences. With outstanding display of defense and offence led by veteran Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley, the team clinched a victory by 17 huge points against the Cavaliers.
Kawhi Leonard was reportedly suffering with a lower leg injury. This made him miss the game today. Similarly, PG has not improved from his right toe injury and may miss the next game as well. With the absence of the main superstars in the team, it was all on experienced Lou Williams, Serge Ibaka and Patrick Beverley. And Lou Williams took it personally and went on to score 30 points and 10 assists in the game. The big center, Serge Ibaka also had 21 points to his name. yet the biggest highlight of the game was no-look 3-pointer by Patrick Beverly. In the early 3rd quarter, Patrick Beverley attempted a 3 pointer and then immediately turned around to the Cavs bench. As the shot buzzed in, the court hyped up. He turned as soon as he hit the shot taunting the bench.

Patrick Beverly was elated making the highlight real shot. He jumped around in the time-out called soon after his drained 3-pointer. Patrick Beverly demanded his shot to go viral like LeBron James’ shot. LeBron made a similar shot against the Houston Rockets and turned to his bench soon after it left his palm. Beverly said, “I want that shot to go viral like how y’all be doing everybody else shot,” Beverley said. “Let my sh*t go viral too now. Show me some love.” Patrick Beverly felt like Stephen Curry after the shot. Curry is known to make the similar kind of shots. He has impressed at numerous instances turning around quickly after his attempt.
The confidence for Clippers is brimming high after such a great victory. The team showed absolute errorless display of game. Even without their stars, they proved they are as lethal as with them. Currently 3rd in the West, the Clippers will be looking to extend their winning streak and clinch the top spot in the conference.
