Hong Kong’s captain Nizakat Khan won the toss and opted to bowl first. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan opened the innings but the former’s stay was a very short one.

Then Fakhar Zaman entered the crease smashed three fours and two sixes to score 53 runs off 41 balls. But in the 17th over, Ehsan tossed up the ball outside off and Zaman danced down the track and made it a full toss. He slashed hard at the ball but it fell straight to the hands of Aizaz Khan.
Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten and completed his half-century. He played 57 balls to score 78 runs with six boundaries and a six. While Khushil Shah was the one who displayed an absolue carnage with his 35-run knock off just 15 balls that also included five sixes at an impressive strike rate of 233.33.
