Leylah Fernandez got real with the fans as she spoke about the difficulties of handling the pressure of hate comments. The online community can sometimes be rather tough for any player as they are continuously faced with hate, even if they don’t do anything wrong. 

A similar incident happened with Leylah Fernandez, who shared a video of herself reacting to the hate comments of the fans despite winning the first round of the Strasbourg Open. She gave an honest reaction and even shared a few words of wisdom that her younger sister had told her.

Notably, her younger sister is 20 and has the maturity to deal with haters. Furthermore, she also continued her tiresome routine, which included a jam-packed schedule involving the media and a lot of recovery and rest.

The Canadian shared this video after her match was halted due to rain. She had won the first round of the French Open to make it to the second but unfortunately, rain played spoilsport and forced the game to be suspended for a while.

Though she did not manage to keep her service on point and failed to grab points on service, the Canadian was more clinical than her opponent and eventually won the match. However, Fernandez did not lose her form; she finished the first set and took home the victory in the second. She beat the Chinese 6-3, 6-4 to book a third-round clash against Ons Jabeur. 

Both the players have had a quiet season so far and would look for a change of event. Jabeur has not made it to a single final so far and would hope to get back as soon as possible. Another exciting match at the French Open between two former Grand Slam finalists, awaits.
