Ligue 1: St-Etienne vs PSG player ratings as Messi’s tripple assist gets PSG a 3-1 win

Geoffroy-Guichard witnessed a magnificent matchup between St-Etienne and PSG. It was a complete nightmare for PSG when the homeside got the lead courtesy of a goal by Denis Bouanga. However, Marquinhos brought in the equaliser at the stroke of halftime to get things going.
As the match progressed into second half, Angel Di Maria was granted with a magnificent ball by Messi to get the lead back in the favour of PSG. It was Lionel Messi yet again who assisted the third goal of the match, scored by Marquinhos. He completed his brace in style. The scoreline was a pretty tight one as the match fell in the favour of PSG.
Here are the player ratings for the encounter:-
St-Etienne
Etienne Green (GK) (7.5/10) : Green had a lot of saving to do with the gloves but he couldn’t manage to keep the scoreline intact as he let past two goals that cost them the game.
Yvann Maçon (6.7/10) : A pretty average game for Yvann. He lost possession on as many as thirteen occasions and wasn’t a delightful statistic.
Mickael Nade (6.4/10) : Mickael made some good clearences in the match but that’s all he could pull off as he barely impacted the game.
Timothée Kolodziejczak (5.6/10) : An unfortunate exit from the match for Timothée as he made a challenging tackle at PSG and his inexcusable attempt to win the ball earned him a red card and send-off at the stroke of halftime.
Miguel Trauco (6.4/10) : Miguel did a decent job at defending but he failed to control the ball as he lost possession on multiple occasions.
Mahdi Camara (6.3/10) : The captain had a really bad game. He did a good job at defending but he seemed bent out of shape and his disappointing performance wasn’t setting a great example for his team.
Alpha Sissoko (6.4/10) : Just the 45 minutes of gameplay for Aloha Sissoko as he failed to impact the game or create a good positive gameplay.
Denis Bouanga (7.5/10) : Denis Bouanga did the unthinkable against the current number one team of Ligue 1, PSG. He scored following an initial save off a teammate and got the 1-0 lead and provide St-Etienne with the most brilliant start of all times.
Ryad Boudebouz (7.4/10) : Ryad did a commendable job at winning several ground duels and passing along some really good long balls but he walked off the pitch due to injury concerns.
Adil Aouchiche (6.3/10) : Just the 45 minutes of gameplay for Adil as he failed to impact the game or create a good positive gameplay
Wahbi Khazri (7/10) : Wahbi had a huge opportunity to score but he was marginally off target which definitely did coat his team a goal scoring opportunity.

PSG
Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) (6.7/10) : Donnarumma could’ve handled the goal by Denis Bouanga in a better way but he didn’t have much choice. A decent game over-all for the Italian.
Achraf Hakimi (6.5/10) : Hakimi has been really good with his quick feet but he has failed to deliver great performances in the recent few games.
Marquinhos (8.5/10) : The PSG captain has always come the rescue for his side and does the job yet again. He had missed a sitter earlier but he redeemed himself quite nicely. Messi lofted in an inch perfect free-kick and Marquinhos nudged a low bouncing header past the keeper in the near post to square things up at the end of the first-half. He gets a second opportunity in the final few seconds to complete his brace and score the third for PSG.
Sergio Ramos (7.2/10) : Ramos was excellent in the PSG colours. He did a phenomenal job at winning tackles and his passing accuracy was certainly exquisite. A really good game by the Spaniard.
Juan Bernat (7.2/10) : A great game for Bernat. He did a good job at winning balls and kept the ball moving and made some excellent passes. He contributed well to PSG’s win.
Danilo Pereira (7.4/10) : A decent game for Danilo as he won quite a few tackles and Interceptions which contributed well for the team
Idrissa Gueye (7.8/10) : Gueye created some good chances and he created a big goal scoring opportunity for PSG while also having an off target attempt.
Angel Di Maria (8.1/10) : Di Maria was certainly in the right place at the right time. He received a brilliant assist from Messi as he was unmarked and he made a simple finish around Green to get the lead back to PSG.
Lionel Messi (8.7/10) : The Argentine national must have definitely not gotten some goals to himself but he surely was all over the scorecard. He made all the three assists to all the three goals scored by PSG. What a performer.
Neymar (6.1/10) : Neymar already had a disappointing game and he later walked off the field with an injury concern.
Kylian Mbappé (5.6/10) : Mbappé had the worst possible game of his Ligue 1 campaign. He missed as many as three big opportunities of scoring that could’ve been as simple as it gets. A depressing game for the star striker.
