Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul is one of the biggest upcoming fights. The event will be the first live boxing fight that will be hosted by Netflix. Furthermore, the fight will also mark Tyson’s historical return to the boxing ring after retiring in 2005. The last time the boxer fought was in an exhibition fight in 2020, but this will be a professional bout. Hence, this fight has drawn a lot of attention because of it, and even the rapper Lil Wayne shared his prediction.
The fight is set to take place on July 20, in Texas and has already sold out. After two thrilling pre-fight press conferences, Paul and Tyson have made it clear that the bout will be one for the ages. However, some are skeptical about whether or not the former champion can defeat the young boxer. Amid this debate, the American rapper is confident that Tyson will emerge victorious. He mentioned this during an interview with Undisputed.
If it’s a real fight, I have Mike Tyson and I believe it’s a disrespectful question. I don’t care if he was 85-year-old Mike TysonLil Wayne via Undisputed
Many people have expressed different opinions about the fight. This is why, when the interviewer caught up with the rapper, he asked the question everyone’s been thinking about. Subsequently, Wayne did not hesitate for a second to answer that Tyson would emerge victorious.
However, Wayne thinks that Tyson will only lose if the fight is scripted, which is why he remarked that he would win if it’s a real fight. The rapper’s confidence stems from the fact that he grew up witnessing Iron Mike in his prime.
Tyson Fury’s prediction for the fight
Someone with far more experience in the sport is former heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, who also shared his prediction. Fury had remained unbeaten in his last 34 fights before losing by a split decision to Oleksandr Usyk.
As such, before the fight, he had appeared for an interview with Ariel Helwani, where he was asked the name question. Fury also shared Wayne’s chain of thought and stated that Mike Tyson would defeat Paul. Furthermore, he confidently proclaimed that Tyson would knock out the young boxer.
If Mike Tyson hits anybody, I don’t care if he’s 90; he’s going to knock them out cold, isn’t he?
