Among others, rapper Lil Wayne was also left grappling with anticipation over the Lakers’ future.
Social media erupted in a state of overwhelmed reactions over Luka Doncic joining the Lakers. Amid the chaos, Lakers superfan Lil Wayne quipped on the situation. The rapper took to X to do the only thing that was left, pray for the future. He seemed hyped about the possibility of Doncic making his team more formidable. Lil Wayne appeared to welcome the idea of Doncic joining the Lakers.

Reportedly, it was the Mavericks who called the Lakers to offer Luka Doncic. For a young talent who has managed to make a name as one of the elites, the opportunity was too good to be passed on. Notably, the deal has paired the former Mavericks star with former NBA MVP LeBron James. The monumental trade has split the fans over the new duo’s implications.

However, this wasn’t the first interaction Lil Wayne has had with Doncic. In one of his tweets from 2022, the rapper called the NBA star a h*e for his complaints to the referees. He is renowned for his pace and at times, the athlete stops the game to confer with the officials. However, in an interview much later, the rapper expressed that he didn’t feel that way about the Slovenian superstar anymore.
