Former World No. 1 Lindsay Davenport has criticized Iga Swiatek‘s habit of taking long bathroom breaks every time she is in a difficult position in a match. She suggested that measures to keep such breaks in check should be implemented to prevent unfair use of additional time. 

Davenport has stated that modern-day tennis is seeing an increased number of bathroom breaks, leading to more discussions and controversies related to the issue.

The criticism of misusing washroom breaks is not confined to Iga Swiatek. Even Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas have been accused of abusing them over the years.
