It looks like Jeremy Lin has finally decided to make his return to the iconic Madison Square Garden as a fan. Lin played for one season for the New York Knicks and became a popular figure among the Knicks fanbase.
It has been 14 years since point guard left the franchise. Since then, he has only been back at the MSG as an opposing player after his unceremonious departure from the team.
However, that is about to end as Lin has accepted an invitation from the team and will be attending Games 3 and 4 as a spectator.
I have never been back to the Garden as a spectator, this will be my first time in 14 years where I’ll be back in the Garden not as an opposing player, and I can’t wait. I can’t wait for Games 3 and 4.

During his playing days, Jeremy Lin was regarded for his athleticism and ability to draw fouls. His “Linsanity” era in 2012 was a brief but memorable period where he dominated the NBA. Unfortunately, his departure from the New York Knicks left a sour taste in his mouth.
The Knicks are closer than ever to winning their first NBA championship since 1973. It has been 27 years since their last appearance in the NBA Finals. With a 2-0 lead in the series, they have a strong advantage with Games 3 and 4 at home. Several other big-profile names are expected to attend the games, with President Donald Trump being the biggest one.
Fans react to Jeremy Lin returning to the MSG as a fan for the first time
Despite struggling with injuries and playing just 35 games for the Knicks in the 2011-12 season, Jeremy Lin formed a special connection with the fans. His exit from the Knicks was not on the best of terms, but he has continued to support the franchise.
When Lin confirmed his appearance for Games 3 and 4 at MSG, fans were caught buzzing across social media.
Some players leave stats behind. Jeremy Lin left memories.

Jeremy Lin explain how Spurs created their 0-2 hole vs. the Knicks
Heading into the NBA Finals, the Knicks have been the most in-form team in the playoffs. They have lost just two games in the entire postseason and are currently on a 13-match win streak. The two losses came against the Atlanta Hawks in the first round.

In Game 2, the Spurs were guilty of some costly blunders in the fourth quarter that ended up costing them the match. Jeremy Lin believes the inexperience and fatigue hurt them in the final 30 seconds of Game 2.
The Spurs have so much heart. 14-0 run to come back into the game, but the last 30 seconds, just so much inexperience — whether you want to call it youth, whether you want to call it fatigue, it just wasn’t it. They had the game where you have the ball with 12 seconds left, it’s a tie game, there’s no way you should be able to ever lose that game.

Prior to the playoffs, some doubted that the lack of playoff experience could hurt the Spurs this year. They have done a fine job in their first three rounds, but face an uphill battle ahead. Their backs are against the wall, and Game 3 is a must-win match for them.
