After enjoying a bye week, the Detroit Lions are ready to host their first playoff opponent, Washington Commanders. Although the Commanders, led by Jayden Daniels, are coming off a solid victory, head coach Dan Campbell is optimistic about the Lions’ chances, particularly with the advantage of home-field support.

Ahead of the thrilling divisional match, Campbell expressed his delight to earn home-field advantage in the postseason, believing the local fans would create the most electrifying atmosphere that the visitors have faced all season. Having the loudest home crowd ever would be a huge morale boost for the team, especially the defense as they target the rookie star, Daniels

You can be in loud environments — ours will be the loudest they’ve been in all year. How does it affect them? It only takes one for it to be something goes awry and ends that series or something happens out of it. That’s all you’re looking for. That’s all you’re hoping for. So I’m glad we’re at home, I can’t wait to hear that crowd, we know they’re behind us and it’s going to be electric.

Dan Campbell told the media

In its entire history, the Lions have never been able to appear in the Super Bowl, let alone win it. And for the first time, fans have full confidence that Jared Goff-led Lions under head coach Campbell has the best possibility to enter the everlasting drought.

Terrion Arnold asserts Lions’ defense ready for challenge against Commanders

Speaking of the Lions’ defense, star cornerback Terrion Arnold also spoke on the subject recently. He affirmed that the defense is ready to overpower the Commanders’ offense as they have been preparing against one of the most aggressive offenses of the league– Detroit.

Going against our offense, I feel like it prepares us for a lot of different situations. And our coach, he does a very good job of putting us in those situations and just allowing us to do our best to make practice tougher than the games.

Campbell has been intensely scrutinized for his aggressive approach to coaching, but the Lions continue dominating the field on both sides of the ball. Head coach Campbell has the “ultimate faith” in the team’s powerful offense and his players are committed to rising to his expectations.
