With Kerby Joseph at the helm, the Detroit Lions’ secondary is counted among the best in the league this season, making their odds of winning the Super Bowl more solid. The team is coming off their eleventh straight victory against divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers.

After seeing the Lions’ star safety going at it against the Packers’ tight end Tucker Kraft, there appears to be more than a divisional rivalry between the two. In the third quarter of the game, Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love found tight end Kraft in the flat, who quickly advanced to upfield, but ended up being tackled by Joseph in his signature low.

In his quest for an escape, Kraft hurled over Joseph only to be met with a powerful hit from Jack Campbell and Terrion Arnold. Despite such a highlighted tackle by Joseph, when he was asked about Kraft post-game, he took a massive dig at the tight end by pretending not to know him.

You talking about Mac and Cheese Kraft? Man, I don’t know who that boy is. To be honest, man, people just talk crazy. I ain’t worried about it.

The Lions star was clearly taking a dig at Kraft, given the third-quarter tackle wasn’t their only interaction from the Week 14 game. Tension flared between the two when they were seen engaging in a heated exchange after the pregame warm-ups with Joseph being the one to instigate the quarrel.

Tucker Kraft called Kerby Joseph a “dangerous player” ahead of Thursday’s showdown

Acknowledging the abundance of prowess Joseph possesses, the Packers’ emerging offensive star showered praise on the star safety by calling him a “dangerous player.” However, at the same time, he admitted to not agreeing with his playing style which has injured a few players with serious injuries.

He can flip games. He’s a good DB. I might not agree with some of the places he likes to lay contact. He’s taken some of my brothers out of the game and I think about that, too. I get my chance to get my hands on him playing football.

It’s possible that Joseph may be responding to these comments made by Kraft on him as the young tight end called him ‘dangerous.’ Given, that he reacted with a smirk when the media asked him about the opposing tight end, who had an impressive play of three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown.
