LIV Golf players allowed to alter dress code according to weather in shocking change of events
LIV Golf will be tweaking its dress code rule a little while keeping it easily changeable according to weather conditions.

LIV Golf has established new rules on the outfit with changes similar to the PGA Tour. No players of the Tour are allowed to wear shorts during official events.
On the other hand, LIV Golf deferred from the rule by introducing shorts on the greens. The Saudi-backed league golfers can wear shorts during events, making it a welcoming and attractive change for new joiners.
However, recently Pat Perez commented how LIV Golf will remove the rule while adding full pants on the show. No players are allowed to wear shorts or show their legs during official events.
The players are wearing pants all year. I got it confirmed the other day that the players are wearing pants.

Wear whatever you want on the golf course.

I don’t care what you wear, and you shouldn’t care what I wear.
This whole “acceptable golf attire” debate needs to die.
It’s a sport. Played outside. Wear what makes you comfortable and helps you perform your best.

The dress code tweak was one of the features that separated the PGA-LIV league, but with the introduction and the necessity to wear long pants, it doesn’t appear so right now. Adding more twist to the story, a recent report suggested that the long pants rule was not for all time.
If the heat index is above 90 degrees then the players can wear shorts during events, otherwise full pants as ruled. A spokesperson commented on the incident ahead of the Hong Kong tournament.
The upcoming LIV tournament will take place in Adelaide, Australia where the weather is supposedly 70 degrees. The tournament where the rule will officially be effective is in Singapore from March 14-16.
Tiger Woods comments on shorts rule in PGA Tour
Back in 2018, Tiger Woods spoke on the PGA Tour’s rule of wearing full pants even in hot climates. He said that players should have the freedom to choose what to wear on the greens depending on the climate and their condition.

Woods added that there are many events where the temperature is too much to handle and wearing full pants can often get in the way. Furthermore, he said he’d rather show his “little chicken legs” than be uncomfortable during an official game.
A lot of the tournaments are based right around the equator, so we play in some of the hottest places on the planet. It would be nice to wear shorts. Even with my little chicken legs, I still would like to wear shorts.

Pat Perez on this week’s “Fairway to Heaven” confirmed that LIV golfers will be wearing pants all season.

Bye bye shorts, apparently. pic.twitter.com/6UffqZasah
Whether the PGA Tour will later adopt new rules and changes or will continue on its path is yet to be seen. Currently, the fans are waiting to see reviews of the new LIV Golf policy and how the players react to it.
