What happened at the LIV Golf Nashville?
Tyrrell Hatton captured his first LIV Golf title at the event in Nashville. He shot 64-63-64 for a 19-under-par total to dominate the field at The Grove. Hatton earned $4 million for the victory from the $20 million overall purse.
Hatton’s win comes just a week after he faded from contention in the final round of the U.S. Open. He bounced back in impressive fashion in Nashville.
The Englishman won by six shots over Sam Horsfield, tying the second-lowest winning margin in LIV Golf history. Hatton’s maiden individual LIV victory moves him up to third in the season standings behind Joaquin Niemann and Jon Rahm.
Hatton’s Legion XIII team, which includes Rahm, Caleb Surratt, and Kieran Vincent, also earned the team title and will split $3 million. The $4 million payday for Hatton is just $300,000 less than Bryson DeChambeau received for winning his second U.S. Open title last month.
