Liv Morgan has become a global superstar over the past few years. From winning Money in the Bank, cashing it in successfully to becoming World Champion, and being a fan favorite, she has done it all. However, it was not always like this for the 29-year-old. Before becoming a wrestler, she used to be a waitress at Hooters.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Morgan opened up about her job as a waitress. She revealed that everyone at Hooters knew she loved wrestling. She would put WWE on the TV while doing bar shifts and serving customers.

The upcoming World Championship challenger revealed that a previous manager of the same restaurant also used to be a wrestler, whom she refused to name. Whenever that wrestler visited the town, he always visited that particular Hooters. Considering that the former Women’s Champion was a huge WWE fan, she recognized him instantly.

Everyone at Hooters knew I loved wrestling, I’d be doing bar shifts I’d be putting WWE on TV, I’d be serving with WWE on TV, it was my thing.

The restaurant’s manager went up to that wrestler and asked him to talk to her. Liv Morgan spewed out all her wrestling knowledge when she met him. This seemingly impressed the WWE wrestler, who connected her with the man who would be responsible for her signing with the WWE, Joe DeFranco.

Joe DeFranco was a world-renowned strength and conditioning coach. He threw in Morgan, who had never worked out a day in her life at that point, with some NFL athletes that he used to train. She considered that to be her WWE tryout and gave it her all. Her resilience ended up impressing her coach.

DeFranco reached out to WWE on Morgan’s behalf. She had just missed out on the tryout camp. However, the company informed him that they would have another one in the next six months. This led to the 29-year-old training with her coach for hours every day. She would work out in the morning with him and then work her shift at Hooters.

When the day of her tryout finally came, Morgan was ready. Although she did not have any wrestling training at the time, she was prepared when it came to strength and conditioning. She reminisced about acing her cardio drills. This led to the Raw Superstar being signed, which she considered to be her biggest blessing in life.
