Dominik Mysterio now holds both the Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Title, and with the rest of The Judgment Day causing chaos on RAW, the group has been rolling. But one key piece is still missing: Liv Morgan. The former Women’s World Champion has been out since June with a dislocated shoulder.

Morgan suffered the injury on the June 16 episode of RAW during her match with Kairi Sane. Because of the setback, she was forced to give up her half of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. That is how Roxanne Perez stepped into the faction and held the titles with Raquel Rodriguez before the pair eventually dropped them to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. 

Morgan later underwent shoulder surgery in June 2025, performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas of Andrews Sports Medicine, with physical therapist Kevin Wilk overseeing her rehab. Now, fans are wondering when she will return. And amidst speculations, Morgan has spoken about her WWE status, but she is keeping her cards close. 

At the premiere of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5, she was asked whether her comeback is months away, weeks away, or even sooner. Morgan didn’t give anything away and simply said:

I think that everyone’s just going to have to watch me.

She also celebrated her 11th anniversary with WWE last month, posting rare footage that showed her shoulder being popped back into place after the match in June. The clip is graphic, with Rodriguez comforting her as medical staff reset the injury. Morgan, still hopeful in the moment, can be heard asking the trainer, “Wait, you think that’s it, maybe?”

The company has remained optimistic that she could return to the ring by early 2026. She was also present at last month’s WrestleMania 43 Saudi Arabia announcement event, which further fueled speculation.

The year 2025 was supposed to be massive for Morgan. She entered it as Women’s World Champion before losing the title to Rhea Ripley, then stepped away after WrestleMania to film her first major movie role in ‘Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo.’ Her comeback remains one of the company’s most anticipated, and she seems content to let the suspense build.

Before Liv Morgan’s injury, she and Raquel Rodriguez were clearly on track for a showdown with Asuka and Kairi Sane at WWE Evolution 2. There were also signs that a feud with Roxanne Perez might be brewing, especially with the tension over Dominik Mysterio’s attention.

Even so, Rey Mysterio’s son has continued to thrive without Morgan by his side. He now holds both the AAA Mega Championship and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and he appears headed for a blockbuster match with John Cena in San Diego at Survivor Series, one of Cena’s final bouts before retirement.

Moreover, Mysterio has been hailed by many, including CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, as the future of the company owing to his brilliant character work. 

Although Morgan kept quiet about her own return timeline, she had plenty of fun talking about Stranger Things at the premiere. When asked who could take down a Demogorgon, she didn’t hesitate, pointing to Mysterio. 

He’s the WWE Intercontinental Champion and the AAA Mega Champion, he can kind of do anything.

Morgan also joked that she would rather deal with Rhea Ripley again than be trapped in the Upside Down. She added that she’d team with Eleven in a heartbeat, saying the two share a similar spirit because both have a knack for getting back up and coming back stronger whenever faced with adversity.

Even as she recovers, Morgan’s charm and confidence remain firmly in the spotlight. It will be interesting to see what the promotion has in store for her once she is medically cleared to be back in action.
