“We train everyday at 12 o’clock,” Liverpool boss Arne Slot refuses to make EXCUSES for being handed early kick-off

Arne Slot‘s start to life at Liverpool has been nothing short of brilliant. The Reds are top of the table and have won all but one of their first seven games in the Premier League, accumulating 18 points in the process. As the club prepared to take to the pitch earlier today (October 5) at 12:30 pm (UK time), fans complained about the early kick-off and why it always falls upon Liverpool.
Despite the complaints and excuses made by fans, Arne Slot did not follow suit. The Dutchman spoke up about the same in a press conference and assured that the timing of the game against Crystal Palace will not hamper their performance.
A fan pointed out that former manager Jurgen Klopp constantly used to oppose early kick-offs and that Slot’s change in attitude is a breath of fresh air. However, a few fans were not convinced by his statement and felt that it was setting them up for embarrassment on social media. Liverpool will also play Chelsea later this month, with the Blues also in good form this season.
Arne Slot has simple solution to win the Premier League over Champions Man City
Both Liverpool and Arsenal have come extremely close to securing Premier League titles in recent seasons. However, Pep Guardiola‘s side has been so ruthless in recent seasons that they have been winners in five of the last six seasons. Recently, Liverpool boss Arne Slot objectively took a look at what his side has to achieve if they are to ‘reclaim’ the title.
Even though Liverpool vs Manchester City and the return fixture have the potential to decide the winner, Slot feels that it is away games that make the difference.
While Liverpool finished nine points behind City last season, the club won one point more than City in Jurgen Klopp’s final season.
Even though both City and Liverpool lost three away fixtures, the difference is that the champions won five more than the Reds away. Liverpool have only dropped points in a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at home while City have drawn against both Arsenal and Newcastle United.
