Mohamed Salah has easily been the best player for Liverpool this season. The Egyptian has been a lifesaver for the Reds, scoring crucial goals throughout the season for Arne Slot‘s side.

Despite his importance to the team, the club hadn’t made an official contract extension offer to the 32-year-old. However, fans breathed a sigh of relief as the club has finally offered the main man a deal.

Liverpool‘s No. 11 is out of contract at the end of the 2024/25 season, along with Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold. It is understood that Salah wants his new salary to reflect his importance to the team.

The Egyptian pockets over £400,000 a week at present. As per reports, the club has finally tabled an offer for the player, with information regarding his renewed salary yet to be revealed.

Mohamed Salah had previously stated on the record that he’s ‘more out than in,’ causing backlash from pundit Jamie Carragher. Salah’s most recent game for the club was a 3-3 draw against Newcastle, in which he was directly involved in all three goals (2 goals and an assist).

As things stand, the player is the leading goal scorer in the Premier League alongside Erling Haaland with 13, and is only behind Bukayo Saka in terms of assists.

Liverpool handed significant injury boost ahead of UCL matchup against Girona

Liverpool’s 100% record in the UEFA Champions League is at stake as the Reds face La Liga side Girona on Tuesday. As the club prepares to claim a sixth consecutive win in the competition, it will be handed a significant boost with several players returning from injury.

Alisson Becker, Federico Chiesa, and Diogo Jota are all most likely to return from their setbacks. All three players were spotted training alongside their teammates at the AXA training centre on Friday.

With Chiesa even playing 60 minutes for the U21s last week, it is likely that the trio will be fit in time for the upcoming clash. Backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher has put in a brilliant shift in between the sticks while Slot’s No.1 Alisson was out with a hamstring injury.

Speaking of absentees, the club will be without Alexis Mac Allister, who is serving a yellow card suspension from the game against Real Madrid. The Argentine will also miss the game against Fulham with a yellow card suspension in the league. Both Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley will miss the game in Spain, as the duo is yet to recover from the knocks sustained against Madrid.
