Former Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher surprisingly expressed his belief that Manchester United star Marcus Rashford would not be a good pick for Arsenal. The 26-year-old might be on his way out of the club during the next transfer window.

Earlier this week, Marcus Rashford had hinted towards departing his boyhood club, after admitting that he is ready to take up a ‘new challenge’. His comments came after being dropped from the squad by new manager Ruben Amorim for the match against Manchester City.

Rashford’s poor form this season and his attitude have been cited as possible reasons for his omission. He is now being linked with a move away from the club. PSG, Arsenal and Barcelona have emerged as possible destinations.

However, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher expressed his skepticism regarding the 26-year-old’s abilities, and also suggested Arsenal to not sign him. While agreeing that Rashford needs to move on, the football pundit stated that it would be difficult for him to make it into any starting XI.

Carragher claimed that he has lost his form and has found it difficult to make it into the national team as well. He urged the Gunners to not sign Rashford, claiming that he is not at par with Bukayo Saka or Mohamed Salah’s talents.

I think it’s time for him to move on, but he can’t get in the Manchester United team, he’s not even in the England squad… He’s been a very good player for United, but he’s not Salah, Mane or Saka.

It remains to be seen what comes ahead for the 26-year-old forward, with a January move up on the cards. Marcus Rashford has failed to emulate his past form at the club. This season, the United academy graduate has scored just seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances.

Ruben Amorim leaves Marcus Rashford out of squad for Tottenham clash

Marcus Rashford has been surprisingly dropped from Manchester United’s squad once again, as the club prepares for its Carabao Cup encounter against Tottenham. Ruben Amorim had previously left the 26-year-old out of the team during the club’s 2-1 win over Man City.

The forward had missed training with the team earlier this week due to illness but was expected to join back ahead of their trip to Tottenham.

While manager Ruben Amorim previously refused to leave the forward out of his plans, he has now left him out due to unknown reasons. It further shows the rift between the forward and the manager, also pointing towards his exit from the club.

In case Rashford decides to leave Man Utd this season, it would end his 20-year association with his boyhood club. Meanwhile, youngster Alejandro Garnacho, who was also dropped for the Manchester derby, has been included in the squad to face Spurs.
