Thomas Tuchel gives his assessment on the Crystal Palace victory
Thomas Tuchel is especially delighted with Kai Havertz who scored in the Premier League after October 16th. Tuchel says that Havertz has the quality but needs to shot it more and that’s exactly what he did. However he adds that he expects Kai Havertz to be more ruthless in front of goal and score more.
Tuchel acknowledged that it is difficult to score in the Premier League. This was the first time that Chelsea had scored more than two goals under him. He says that although it was a good performance they need to put it in the past and focus on Porto again.
On asked if this was the best offensive display under his charge he says that you can’t compare matches like that. He even says that UEFA champions league matches or against Liverpool required different quality.
“They found the momentum today. It was the performance in which we created the most chances, had the most touches in the opposition box, and scored the most. So it’s not too hard to say that.
“But you can’t compare to Champions League matches or a game at Liverpool. You clearly can’t.
“But I am happy with what we played today. We take it step by step and everything we expected today from the guys in general, it was a team effort.
