Real Madrid boast one of the most talented and stacked squads in all of Europe. The champions of Europe recently added Kylian Mbappe to a squad that already had Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr. and Arda Guler! Not even 24 hours had passed since Mbappe’s presentation when news broke of Madrid’s pursuit of yet another big name star.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has been a potential target for Los Blancos for a long time running and as per recent reports, may finally materialize. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Madrid have shown concrete interest in the player and may make a solid move for the 25-year-old this summer. His evolution from a right-back to a midfielder at Liverpool has been exciting to watch.

His existing contract with the Reds sees him earn €211,000 per week with the deal expiring in 2025. Even though Liverpool have shown no desire to let go of the star, it is reported that Real are in contact with the player for the last few months.

The player has also shown interest in a potential move away from the club. Trent has been an elemental part of Liverpool’s line-up for the past seven years and is a loved figure among fans of the club.

Real Madrid risk losing transfer target to Premier League club

It isn’t every day that Real Madrid see their transfer target gets scooped up by another club. It is common knowledge that not many clubs have the ability to match neither pay nor glory as much as the Los Blancos offer. Recently however, Ligue 1 player Leny Yoro came into the spotlight for receiving ‘offers’ from both Real Madrid and Manchester United.

Contrary to what was expected, United have managed to take the lead over Real in the race for his signature. The Red Devils are desperate to sign centre-backs in the summer to bolster the defensive department for Erik ten Hag. The manager recently signed a contract extension at the club, meaning that INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are prepared to finance a squad rebuild for the Dutchman.

Yoro is an 18-year-old defender that plays for Ligue 1 club Lille. As per reports, the French club have accepted a bid from United, even though the final say rests with Yoro. Surprisingly, Madrid haven’t even come close to the price United are offering for the player. Besides Yoro, United are also looking at Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt.
