For the football fans, the transfer window is a living beehive of speculations and just another rock has been thrown at it. The latest and one of the wildest transfer rumors that has come up is that Darwin Nunez may find a new home in London.
The rumor has materialized after Nunez has had a rough start to the season under the chaperonage of the new Liverpool gaffer, Arne Slot. With not much game time under his belt under Slot, a story that was somewhat similar during his reign under Klopp, he is looking for suitors. He did get a start against Brentford but once he found himself offside during a build-up, fans have started to voice their impatience about the Uruguayan midfielder.
As reported by AFCAMDEN, Darwin Nunez is being tipped to be sold over to Arsenal as the towering midfielder is seeking more game time. Losing out his position to Diogo Jota in the Liverpool midfield, things aren’t looking promising for Nunez at Anfield.
However, another crucial aspect that should be kept in mind about this report is that AFCAMDEN has had their shares of woes earlier as a former report by them which stated that Curtis Jones maybe on his way away from Liverpool was not proven right.
Darwin Nunez has had a meteoric rise to prominence in recent times. He started his senior career for Penarol, scoring four goals from 14 matches. Almeria was his next destination and the Uruguayan managed to hammer 16 goals from just 30 games, making all the right ripples.
He then went onto play for Benfica, scoring 32 goals from the two seasons at the club that made Liverpool take notice. Ever since his arrival at Anfield, he has played 66 matches, scoring 20 goals for the Reds.
Here’s how Arsenal and Liverpool started their latest Premier League campaign
Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win against Wolves. They followed it up with another clinical display against Aston Villa who kept them silent in the first half but had the floodgates forced open in the second. With Brighton and Hove Albion up next, Mikel Arteta has already started scheming his next plot.
Liverpool had a similarly triumphant start to the latest edition of the Premier League as they rode roughshod over Ipswich Town while surging past Brentford comfortably enough to make it two out of two. They have a bigger task at hand with a visit to Old Trafford next as Manchester United awaits.
