Liverpool fans were left enthralled after the Reds scored a stunning counter-attack goal against Brentford in a 2-0 victory. The win marked a successful beginning for the Reds under newly appointed manager Arne Slot.
The Reds capped off a two-game winning streak with a 2-0 win over the Bees at the Anfield stadium, remaining among the top four of the EPL table. It was also new manager Arne Slot’s first ever home victory after joining the club this summer from Feyenoord.
Fans on social media praised the Dutchman for his brilliant tactics and strategies, making some major changes from the Jurgen Klopp era. Forwards Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah were the two goal-scorers, striking in the 13th and 70th minute, respectively.
The first goal grabbed fans’ attention, with Diaz finishing from an incredible counter-attack. After Brentford took a corner kick in the 13th minute, Liverpool gained possession and the ball reached Diogo Jota, who then sprinted his way to the middle of the pitch.
He made a brilliant through pass to Diaz, who powered his way into the Brentford box to put the ball into the back of the net using his weaker left foot. The Bees defenders failed in their attempts to thwart the counter-attack.

Following their two back-to-back Premier League wins, Liverpool will now step into the next game against rivals Manchester United next weekend. Moreover, Arne Slot has received praise for improving the team defensively, having not conceded a single goal.
