After the European Super League shock, one more shock awaits the football fans. According to recent reports and rumors emerging from the English Premier League, Jose Mourinho is sacked by Tottenham Hotspur. Ahead of the crucial game against Manchester City, Jose Mourinho has received the termination letter from Daniel Levy on Monday.
Why did the club sack Jose Mourinho?
After a glorious start to the season, Jose Mourinho reached the top of the English Premier League points table in early November. The fans started to believe in “Special One” and Tottenham Hotspur were set for something special under the Portuguese talisman. Sacking of former Manchester United and Chelsea manager has solely based on the results as well as the unrest within the squad.
Former Lillywhites’ midfielder, Ryan Mason is all set to be the caretaker manager for Tottenham Hotspur till the end of the ongoing campaign. Under Jose Mourinho, Tottenham Hotspur endured the tough times as they crashed out of the Europa League in a bizarre fashion. Also, the recent defeat against Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur stadium had increased the pressure on the manager. Daniel Levy booted the Portuguese due to huge discontent within the club.
Tottenham Hotspur performed in a bizarre fashion since December. The team which was on top of the points table in November failed to produce consecutive wins since December. The team fell out of Europa League too in a poor fashion against Dinamo Zagreb in extra time. The recent draw against Everton came at the wrong time for Jose Mourinho.
