‘Lmao what a lie’ – Yoel Romero’s manager rubbishes claims that the Cuban wasn’t wanted by Bellator and PFL
“Soldier of God”, Yoel Romero was one of the most notable names recently released by the UFC. The 43-year-old Cuban, last fought against Israel Adesanya, earlier this year and has faced defeat in all three of his last fights. UFC President Dana White, justified his release saying, “Yoel has lost four of his last five. He’s 44 years old. Our roster is very inflated right now.”
In the wake of this Ariel Helwani revealed that other organizations like Bellator and PFL were also not interested in signing Yoel Romero. Putting an end to all this, Malki Kawa, Yoel Romero’s manager tweeted that it was all a lie.
Malki Kawa doesn’t think so!
“Surprisingly I’m told Bellator are not interested, I’m told PFL are not interested”, Ariel Helwani said speaking in the DC & Helwani Show.
However, David Feldman, the president of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship said that they would readily welcome Yoel Romero. “We are very interested. How could we not be? He has BKFC written all over him, He would be a welcome addition, we will see if we can make it happen,” Feldman said.
But, Yoel Romero’s manager wasn’t one bit amused with this. Taking to Twitter he clarified that everything was false. Replying to a tweet which claimed that Bellator and PFL weren’t interested in the Cuban, Malki Kawa tweeted, “Lmao what a lie.”
What do you think of this? Does Yoel Romero deserve a chance at least in the Bellator? Or is he even old for it?
