Even though Logan Paul instantly denied being excited about Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl LX Halftime performance, ‘The Maverick’ hasn’t condoned the comments made by his younger brother, Jake Paul, about the Grammy-winning artist.

‘The Problem Child’ dubbed Bunny a “fake American citizen” in a post he made on X. The 29-year-old said he turned off the halftime show purposefully.

The professional boxer asked his fellow countrymen to rally together against the narrative of these big corporations, which, in this case, was the NFL, for which the people are the medium to gain viewership, added Jake. “A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that,” said Paul.

His older brother, Logan Paul, in response, noted that he loved his brother but didn’t agree with his stance at all. The Vision member said that Puerto Ricans are Americans, and he was happy seeing someone from that island getting an opportunity to showcase their talent on such a global platform. After facing immense backlash on social media for his remarks, Jake Paul would later clarify himself.

‘The Disruptor’ noted in a follow-up post on X that the word “fake” he used got misinterpreted. The boxer asserted that he didn’t call Bad Bunny a fake citizen due to his Puerto Rican background.

Jake said so because of the values “Moreso Bunny” believed in and criticism of “our great country.” Jake, in another post, clarified that he doesn’t consider anyone a fake citizen who belongs to Puerto Rico.

‘The Problem Child’ affirmed that not only does he live in Puerto Rico, but also loves it. Jake said he will continue voicing his support for the US territory time and again, as he has done in the past. Paul’s criticism of Bad Bunny stemmed from his anti-ICE notion, whom Jake viewed as an agency just doing its job. The singer-rapper said, “Thanks to God, I’m going to say, ‘ICE out.’ It’s tough not to hate these days.”

Paul seemed massively upset with Bunny, as he couldn’t stand ‘San Benito’ benefiting from America but disrespecting the country in return. Jake did agree with the message that Bunny shared through his halftime performance, which said that the only thing more powerful than hate was love.

Could Logan Paul vs. Bad Bunny actually happen in WWE this year?

Logan Paul has been a part of the Vision faction since last November. ‘The Maverick’ recently signed a full-time contract with WWE after being dragged for his part-time status by the core wrestling audience. Speaking of the Westlake-born star’s current positioning in the quartet he’s in, the former US Champion has been playing second fiddle to Bron Breakker, who has stood out as the most dominant member of the group.

The boxer-turned-wrestler has been enjoying his time under the Paul Heyman learning tree, something that the 30-year-old desperately needed to hone his pro wrestling craft. Long ago, the IMPAULSIVE host yearned to wrestle Bad Bunny in WWE after the fans made it loud and clear in Logan Paul’s face that the ‘King of Latin Trap’ was the greatest celebrity to ever compete in a WWE ring.

Though it couldn’t come to fruition in the past, the possibility of this match happening has just gone up a notch. It was recently reported by Bryan Alvarez that Bad Bunny is expected to make his WWE return sooner rather than later.

With Logan Paul showing no interest in seeing the rapper perform at the Super Bowl 60 mid-show and the subsequent Jake Paul controversy that has erupted, this could be the play WWE might go with if Bad Bunny has committed to wrestling at this year’s WrestleMania.

Logan Paul might side with his younger brother’s dislike of ‘San Benito’, who has been anti-ICE all along. WWE, however, would want to be wary of pushing the envelope in the anticipated Paul/Bunny feud since it might turn politically sensitive.
