Chicago Bulls star Lonzo Ball has garnered widespread attention in and around the NBA community for his much-awaited return to the court. Ball had been dealing with many injuries to his body and missed more than two years of basketball.

After 1006 days on the sidelines, Ball returned to action against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a preseason matchup. After thunderous applause from the United Center crowd, he nearly immediately made a 3-pointer from a corner.

Ball had ten points, one assist, and one rebound in his 15 minutes on the court. He also made four of six field goals. This performance showcases the immense talent Ball possesses despite being out for over 2 years from the sport.

On January 14, 2022, Ball suffered a meniscus damage to his left knee, which required arthroscopic surgery to fix. However, he soon began experiencing knee pain and ultimately required more surgery that fall.

Later, he hoped that he could return in the following season. However, he ended up getting a third surgery which kept him out of action for a long time. That being said, Ball is now raring to go ahead of the 2024-25 NBA season.

Lonzo Ball stole the headlines following his comeback with the Chicago Bulls. He has played just 35 games in over three years due to injuries. However, he is now fit and ready and had a great performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves during preseason.

Ball has backed himself to positively contribute to the Bulls in the upcoming season. In his last final full season (2020–21) the former No. 2 overall draft pick averaged a career-high 14.6 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game with the New Orleans Pelicans. Now, he will be hoping to put up similar numbers with his Bulls side, barring any injury troubles.
