Lonzo Ball and LaMelo Ball‘s matchup was an emotional day for the NBA world and the Ball family. During the matchup between Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls, LiAngelo Ball was also in attendance adding the icing to the cake. Despite the youngest brother outshining Lonzo, the Bulls star was delighted to share the court with his brother.
Lonzo Ball posted a series of pictures with both LaMelo Ball and LiAngelo Ball. The post captioned ‘That’s my brother…’ included pictures from the game as well as from their childhood. However, the Bulls’ guard could not have enough of the special day and posted another picture with LaMelo suggested by his girlfriend Ally Rossel. “My girl said this the toughest one so I’m double posting,” wrote Lonzo Ball.
The picture was in fact iconic as the two brothers were next to each other in an almost identical stance. Their family name was written on both of their backs with their respective 1 and 2 jersey numbers. The game was certainly a family matter as LaMelo liked the post approved by Lonzo’s long-term girlfriend.
The youngest brother was not behind as he also posted with both siblings. The 23-year-old expressed his love by captioning the post “i love yaw to death and after”. But it seems that the Hornets guard was keeping on and off-court relationships separate as he dominated the Bulls.
LaMelo almost had a double-double with 26 points and nine assists in the win. The older brother on the other hand was only managed to score six points and had to take the 125-123 loss.

Lonzo Ball has had a couple of tough years in the league. The guard was away from the game for two years due to back-to-back injuries. A lot has changed as ‘Zo’ is finally back on the court and had a matchup against his brother for the first time since November of 2021. Sharing the court after such a long time made the Chicago star emotional.
The Ball brothers have grown up playing and learning basketball together. Lonzo being the older has seen LaMelo grow into the person and player he is today. After battling some injuries of his own, the Hornets guard is having an influential season. The star is among the leading scorers in the league this season. While talking to the Athletic, the 27-year-old stated his thoughts about LaMelo’s journey. “A little surreal just seeing how far he’s come,” Lonzo Ball said.
The Bulls star also revealed the conversation the duo had after the Hornets’ clutch win. Lonzo made sure to remind him that the brothers are now tied 2-2 in their matchups. But to conclude on a wholesome note, the older brother acknowledged LaMelo’s All-Star votes while almost averaging 30 points per game. The guard believes it is a ‘blessing’ to witness his brother’s consecutive brilliant performances.
