Los Angeles Lakers willing to trade Danny Green
The Los Angeles Lakers are well aware about the growing competition they would face this season, especially with the Golden State Warriors rising to their power with Stephen Curry. With not a large salary capital, Lakers would look to indulge in trades. One of which could be Danny Green. He did not have a good season as per his standards, averaging just 8 points per game. Green had played an inspirational role with the San Antonio Spurs in their championship run.
With marquee players like Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo and Danny Green on their way out (hypothetically) for the Lakers. They could build a new team around Lebron and Davis. DeMar DeRozan could be a wise switch, knowing about his abilities all around the court.
Danny Green out of Los Angeles Lakers?
The San Antonio Spurs would be a team that will be win-win for both parties. Green was in the championship team of the Spurs, and his experience can help younger players of Popovich’s Spurs.
Utah Jazz can also be one of the suitors. With Bojan Bogdanovic entering the free agency, the Jazz can get an elite shooter in Green. The Jazz will then be able to replace the void created by Bogdanovic and will some help in the defense too.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are clearly going through a transitional phase. With the futures of Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari uncertain, the Thunder could use a man of Green’s experience.
Pistons might be more interested in 25-year-old Kyle Kuzma, than Danny Green. Lakers might also have to add someone like JaVale McGee to balance out the salary demands. This trade looks much more likely to happen.
