Lou Williams

Lou Williams, the three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner, has joined the NBA-NFL player debate on his podcast “Underground Lounge”. He shared his insight, where he acknowledged both sides of the argument.

Williams respected athletes in both sports. However, he disagreed with the idea that 30 players could transition from one sport to the other, professionally. He sided with his fellow NBA players, and objected to the notion that they are “soft”.

But when we start getting into the conversation about basketball players being soft, basketball is more contact that we get credit for. There's pu**ies on both sides, bro. I don't want this conversation to get swayed like we the only one who's p**sies.

Furthermore, Lou Williams also pointed out that the NFL has players who also flop, and that basketball is more physically demanding than credited. He went further to argue that both sports have their share of “pu**ies” and that the conversation should not be one-sided.

He concluded by stating clearly that playing football professionally requires skill and hard work, but making jump shots in basketball is a unique challenge. He aimed to bring balance to the debate, recognizing the strengths and challenges of both sports.

Lou Williams shuts down critics who came for Rudy Gobert

Lou Williams also defended Rudy Gobert’s decision to miss Game 2 of the Minnesota Timberwolves playoff against the Denver Nuggets to witness the birth of his child. Williams emphasized that family and the birth of a child should always take prominence.

Furthermore, Williams also criticized fans and analysts who suggested Rudy Gobert should have played, saying they should “shut the f**k up.” He highlighted the importance of prioritizing family and life’s precious moments over sports.

Yeah I think fans talking about, ‘ohh he should. Y’all; go shut the f**k up, you and your parlays. 100% did the right thing, go be with your family, go see your child being born, like those are moments for life. Let’s say your wife have a f*cking complication, and you on the court warming up. Like come on bro, what are we talking about?

Williams’ rant emphasized that fans and critics often don’t understand the gravity of such situations, and athletes should be supported for making choices that put their loved ones first. He passionately argued that family should always come before sports.
