33-year-old star discloses he has broken ribs after last week’s WWE Raw

Since his debut on the main roster, Ludwig Kaiser has always been in the shadow of his leader, Gunther. However, after the duo turned on their partner, Giovanni Vinci, he has gotten more opportunities to shine as a singles superstar. For the past few weeks, he has been involved in a program with Bron Breakker and Sheamus and has had some hard-hitting matches with them.

On last week’s episode of Raw, Ludwig Kaiser wrestled Breakker after the latter hit him with a Spear for interfering in his match. In the final moments of the match, as the Imperium member was about to hit a running dropkick, Sheamus came out of nowhere and brutally attacked him. In the video package shown on the latest episode of Raw, the 33-year-old star disclosed that he had broken ribs during an all-out brawl between the three.

Kaiser stated that he would’ve beaten the former NXT Champion if it weren’t for Sheamus. He mentioned that, at first, The Celtic Warrior was just a stepping stone in his career. However, now that he has returned, he intends not only to defeat him but to retire him once and for all. The intensity the German wrestler displayed in the promo was outstanding.

Speaking of his rivals, Breakker got an opportunity to challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental title at Money in the Bank. Meanwhile, Sheamus lost an intense triple threat match as Drew McIntyre pinned him to qualify for the MITB ladder match on July 6 in Canada. Only time will tell when Kaiser will return to the sacred mat.

Kaiser is currently one of the most hated heels in the wrestling business. Some fans even stated that he was born to play a villainous heel, and the character suits him very well. It’s not just the fans; a certain WWE legend was also full of praise for the 33-year-old star. The name in question is The Undertaker.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, the Hall of Famer stated that Gunther was his “guy” in modern wrestling. He admired Gunther’s style of wrestling and said that very few people like him were willing to protect the business. He didn’t forget Kaiser either, mentioning that he was easy to dislike, which by no means was an insult.

I like Kaiser too. He's going to be a great villainous type heel. He's easy to look at and dislike. I mean it's a quality... you look at him and go, "I don't like him."

It looks like Kaiser will stay out of action for a few weeks and continue his rivalry with Sheamus. Meanwhile, The Ring General has already issued a warning to both Seth Rollins and Damian Priest. He stated that whoever wins the match at Money in the Bank would fall against him at SummerSlam.
