Luka Doncic on competing against the ‘best team’: The Boston Celtics
The Celtics’ path to the NBA finals was a lot different than the Mavericks’. The team completely dominated the East as they only lost two games in their entire postseason. Hence, it will certainly be a challenging task for Dallas to beat the East table toppers in a best-of-seven-game series.
After the win against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic gave his honest thoughts about facing the Celtics. The star admitted that the team is the best in the NBA and the Mavericks have to give it their all to slow down the immensely talented team.
I mean, they're the best team in the NBA. They had by far the best record and they have some incredible weapons on offense and defense. So, we're gonna have to play really hard and amazing basketball to beat them.Luka Doncic during the post-game press conference
The Mavericks duo of Doncic and Kyrie Irving thrived in the playoffs, however, they have to tackle the Celtics star duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. As Boston is known to have an incredible roster, the Mavericks also have some of the best role players. Hence, the matchup will certainly be head-to-head and a treat for the fans.
