Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has become one of the best players in the NBA. As such, he has consistently ranked among the standout performers in the league over the past few years. This is a testament to his undeniable talent and shooting skills, which have seen him go viral recently.

A video trending on the internet captured the moments when Luka Doncic showed off his impressive shooting abilities. In the clip that was shared by FIBA’s X account, he could be seen attempting several trick shots, both short-range and long-range ones. With each shot he took, the balls always landed successfully inside the basket as his teammates watched in disbelief.

Doncic was taking part in a training session with the Slovenia national team, during their Olympic qualifiers then. The tournament which took place in Greece, saw the 25-year-old carry huge responsibility as the team’s talisman. He recorded consecutive triple-doubles in Slovenia’s loss to Croatia and win over New Zealand.

Despite his top performances, he was unable to prevent a crushing 96-68 defeat to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece in the semifinal game. The Mavericks star had a game-high 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting. The Olympics, being one of the biggest achievements for any athlete, is where Doncic set his sights on. However, that dream was ultimately shattered.

Since being drafted in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks, Doncic has grown from strength to strength. Picked third overall that season, he quickly showed his quality, going on to win Rookie of the Year.

However, before coming to the league, he had already played pro basketball in Europe. Three years earlier, the point guard made his debut for the Spanish team Real Madrid BC. In doing that, he became the youngest ever to play for the franchise at 16 years, two months, and two days of age.
