The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves to advance into the NBA Finals this 2023-24 season. Interestingly, the Mavs’ quality roster includes the likes of Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, P.J. Washington, Dereck Lively II, and many others who have performed as a unit and led their side to the Finals. Notably, the Mavs’ star man Luka Doncic appreciated his teammates and their efforts in a recent interview.

Doncic claimed that he and his side deserve to be in the NBA Finals. He also lauded their team chemistry and asserted that his side “stays together” in good or bad moments. In addition, Doncic and Co have performed extremely well throughout the NBA season. Also, NBA veteran Kyrie Irving has gelled in brilliantly in the Mavs’ roster after suffering a poor 2022-23 season last year.

Doncic will be hoping to claim his first-ever NBA title with his beloved Mavs side this year.

On the sports side, Doncic was named the Western Conference Finals MVP against the Timberwolves. Not only that, his teammate Kyrie Irving also stepped up at the right time. They both scored 36 points on the Timberwolves to secure their team’s qualification to the NBA Finals in Game 5 of the WCF Finals.

Anthony Edwards was full of praise for Luka Doncic after Game 5 loss to Mavs

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks ended the Minnesota Timberwolves and their star man Anthony Edwards’ dream to qualify for the NBA Finals in Game 5. Doncic was the star performer in the game and changed the game with his 3-pointers from the logo. The NBA community was in awe of this performance but so was his rival, Edwards. 

He hit like three shots from the logo. Pretty much nothing we can do about it.

The series’ most talked-about moment was the superstar matchup between Doncic and Anthony Edwards, which one could say that Doncic won.

In addition, the Mavs are just 4 games away from being crowned as the NBA 2023-24 champions. However, they face an uphill task in the form of the Boston Celtics in front of them. The Celtics star duo Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown won’t make it easy for Doncic to claim his first-ever title with the Mavs in the finals.
