Luka Doncic scored 24 points against LA Clippers

Luka Doncic produces another impressive performance as the Dallas Mavericks destroy the Los Angeles Clippers 124-73. Playing without the injured Kawhi Leonard, LA Clippers seemed to have no answer throughout the game. A more than embarrassing loss for the Clippers as they trailed by 27-77.  This has been one of the largest marginal defeats for the Clippers in the modern era. The entire LA Clipper’s starting lineup scored only 41 points and allowed 14 3-pointers.

Luka Doncic was the top scorer of the game with 24 points. Doncic was accompanied well by Josh Richardson who ended up scoring 21 points. The Mavs led by a record 50-point lead going into the halftime. Which has been the largest lead in the short-clock NBA era.

Talking about the LA Clippers’ players, Paul George scored 15, whereas Serge Ibaka scored 13. The embarrassment extended to an extent where the Clippers’ starting lineup was able to score only 1 basket from downtown, courtesy to Luke Kennard.

Even on social media many trolled LA Clippers for losing in such a fashion even though they had more depth in their squad than Dallas Mavericks. With this win the latter franchise has registered their first victory of the 2020-21 season. Talking about the predicted MVP, Luka Doncic, it was nice to see him leading form the front and finally a result converting in his favor and in what style!

Doncic had 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the first half. He scored as many points (13) as the Clippers in the first quarter. The Mavs scored nearly every time down the court while forcing the Clippers into 9 of 37 field-goal shooting.

Having said that, let’s see how the Dallas Mavericks perform after an enthralling win over the LA Clippers by 51 points.
