Hollywood actors and brothers Luke and Owen Wilson are set to join Peyton and Eli Manning’s show Manningcast for their brotherhood special episode “Harbaugh Bowl”. The Harbaugh Bowl is returning after nine years since the 2013 Super Bowl LXVII. The Baltimore Ravens coached by John Harbaugh will take on the Los Angeles Chargers coached by John’s brother Jim Harbaugh on primetime Monday.

The Wilson brothers are one of the most famous brother trios in Hollywood. Andrew, Luke, and Owen Wilson are three sons of Laura Cunningham and Robert Wilson. The three brothers have left a mark in the industry, often working together in certain films as well.

Luke and Andrew collaborated in ‘Rushmore’ (2001) and ‘Idiocracy’ (2006) starring together. Meanwhile, Owen and Andrew Wilson starred together in ‘Zoolander’ (2001). Luke and Owen came together in ‘The Wendell Baker Story’ directed by Luke and Andrew in 2005. The three brothers came as a package in ‘Bottle Rocket’ (1996) and ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ (2001). However, this will be the first time they appear on an alternate broadcast of a prime-time NFL game.

Earlier on Friday, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Mike Vrabel, Cleveland Browns coaching and personnel consultant, would join Bill Belichick for his traditional leadoff appearance on the Manningcast.

The Manningcast began four years ago and intermixes sports and pop culture bringing in celebrities and popular faces to enjoy a game with two of its old legends. This season’s star-studded guest lineup included Adam Sandler, Chris Jones, Miles Teller, Matt Ryan, Paul Rudd, Archie Manning, Maria Taylor, JJ Watt, Jim Gaffigan, Bill Cowher, Jason Sudeikis, Joe Flacco, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman.

Harbaugh Bowl: NFL’s first pair of brothers to serve as NFL head coach meets for the third time

Jim and John Harbaugh have met twice in the NFL. The first time the brothers met each other was during a Thanksgiving game in 2011. In the match, John Harbaugh’s Ravens defeated Jim’s San Francisco 49ers in a low-scoring 16-6. Their second matchup is known for many reasons including being a championship game.

The older brother John thrived again when his side led by Joe Flacco defeated the Niners in the Super Bowl LXVII winning their second Super Bowl in franchise history. The game also made headlines when there was no power for the first 34 minutes of the game, earning the names “Blackout Bowl” in addition to “Harbaugh Bowl”. The 2024 matchup features Jim in a new outfit, Los Angles Chargers.

The Chargers (7-3) are one of the teams who have bettered their win record from last year already. The Chargers who started the season on not-so good of a note have reversed their fortunes pretty quickly. They are inching in on division rivals and reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs, who have two more wins than Chargers. Meanwhile, Ravens (7-4) are standing in front of a golden goose after Pittsburgh Steelers lost to Cleveland Browns in a snowy Ohio night.

Jim Harbaugh has yet another opportunity to win his first game against older brother John Harbaugh. Football might be thicker than blood but how often could one get to coach a team against your best friend, against your brother whom you grew looking up to.
