Since her debut on the main roster, Lyra Valkyria has been constantly trying to make a name for herself. It’s difficult to say what will transpire in her wrestling career, but recently, there was a moment of happiness in her personal life. The former NXT Women’s Champion is now engaged to Irish independent wrestler LJ Cleary.
LJ Cleary took to Instagram and shared some pictures announcing their engagement. He said there was no better way to celebrate 10 years of being together than by deciding to spend their entire lives with each other. The 25-year-old star made a name for himself in Ireland as part of Over the Top Wrestling. He made his NJPW debut and even fought Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, at OTT ScrapperMania last month.
Meanwhile, Lyra Valkyria has been pulling double duty lately, appearing on both NXT and Raw. On the latest episode of Raw, she teamed up with the returning Natalya and Zelina Vega to defeat the team of Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark, and Shayna Baszler. She also appeared on the black and gold brand to save her friend, Tatum Paxley.
The 27-year-old wrestler is one of the NXT stars who has managed to instantly impress the WWE Universe with her skills. In her first-ever tournament, right after her main roster debut, Valkyria defeated stars like Iyo Sky, Stark, and Dakota Kai. Unfortunately, she couldn’t become the Queen of the Ring, suffering a loss in the finals against Nia Jax at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE.
