Mac Jones, former New England Patriots and current Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback is drawing ire from the fans amid the game against the Tennessee Titans. The 26-year-old homeboy Jones threw two interceptions even before the game’s second half.
In the low-scoring game, the Jaguars did end up outdoing the Titans. With six minutes left in the clock, Tank Bigsby made an 8-yard rush from a 2nd & 6. Cam Little put in an extra point with the kick to extend the Jaguars lead to 10-6.
In the closing moments of the second quarter, Tennessee Titans linebacker Arden Key’s relentless pressure forced Jaguars quarterback Mac Jones into a hurried throw. The ill-fated pass was intercepted by Titans linebacker Otis Reese at the Tennessee 49-yard line, who returned it to the Jaguars’ 49 before being brought down by Tank Bigsby.
Mac Jones was assigned starter after their QB1, Trevor Lawrence sustained a brutal concussion after a late slide collision with Houston Texans’ Azeez Al-Shaair in their last game. Jones, who played rather conservatively ended up throwing two picks in the game. He finished the game completing 23 of 31 passes for 220 yards and two interceptions.
Albeit the Jags broke a five-game losing streak, while Jones broke an individual losing streak of six games, Jones’ awful interception had fans and viewers in shambles. Per ESPN’s Mike DiRocco, citing ESPN Research, Jones has now thrown an interception in seven consecutive games as a starter, dating back to last season, the longest active streak in the NFL.
Mac Jones under fire from fans after the dismal interception against the Titans
The Jacksonville Jaguars won, but that teensy bit hasn’t saved Mac Jones. Jones joined the Jags in the offseason to change from his Patriots’ ways, which were often filled with misery. The same old has followed him to his new team as well.
Fans have brutally torn apart Mac Jones at this interception calling him for his poor playing skills. Here are some of the reactions:
Worst player in the league. Has been for 2 years.

Within 3 seconds of tuning in, an interception is thrown.
Turns off TV.
Better ways to spend my afternoon.
The jury’s still out on Mac Jones for some fans who argued that his issues stem from his time in New England. One specific viewer noted that Bill Belichick ruined the player and wants to blame the coach and their management for the poor quarterback development.
Brutal Dov. The pats ruined him. He was very good at Alabama

Bill Belichick screwed him up and destroyed him. Blame the Patriots and Bill Belichick for this.

With Lawrence out for a considerable time, Mac Jones will get another opportunity to prove himself. Earlier in the season, head coach Doug Pederson did notice that Jones had been making improvements. The Jaguars who are 3-10 to the season play the New York Jets.
