UFC Vegas 23 : Mackenzie Dern beats Nina Ansaroff via. submission in the first round!

Number 11 ranked women’s strawweight Mackenzie Dern will be welcoming the returning Nina Ansaroff Nunes who last fought in 2019. Number 5 ranked Ansaroff is coming off a loss against Tatiana Suarez at UFC 238, whereas Mackenzie Dern is currently riding a three fight win streak.

Mackenzie Dern wastes no time!

Round 1 :

Dern began the round as the aggressor. She threw a few punches, which didn’t entirely. She then landed a right hook, and after a while successfully executed a takedown. A lot of ground-time then for Dern. She then went for a half guard. She then went for a mount and landed a few punches on Nina’s face. Mackenzie Dern once again proved why she is so good at transition, as she went for an armlock position and once again inflicted damage on Nina. She quickly executed an armbar, and Nina tapped in no time. What a win!
